For Clemson, a long October has barely begun

Football, football and more football. That's all we get around here, 24 hours a day:

• Clemson has enjoyed possibly its greatest string of football success ever since late September, but there are many more road blocks ahead in this rare, five-Saturday October.

•  Tajh Boyd will likely play against Maryland. Maybe they should rest him? Cole Stoudt did a great job filling in Saturday against Boston College.

• ESPN ranks Clemson No. 1 in the ACC power rankings.

Orange and White also examines the stellar play of defensive ends Malliciah Goodman and Andre Branch.
