FSU track thugs assault Currie

This was all the buzz on Tigernet's message boards on Monday. Clemson track/football star Airese Currie was allegedly jumped by a couple of Florida State track athletes in Austin, Texas, the site of the NCAA championships. Currie sustained minor injuries to his face -- from a bottle! -- and will be OK to play football this fall.

Note how the two stories were handled by the media. The State has a very detailed report, while the Tallahassee Democrat's version is, um, rather cryptic, to say the least.

I'm back after a nice break

Apologies for the lack of posts over the past several days. I've been on vacation.

Anyway, here's a football-related story I managed to dig up amid all the coverage of Clemson's tough exit from the NCAA baseball tournament. It's about cornerback Tye Hill, who may end his career as a top track sprinter in order to focus more on football. Hill is one of the top sprinters in college track.
