Clemson a hot topic at ACC media confab

OK, maybe not. But there are a couple of stories out there today about the Tigers. First is a pair of articles from The State. Quarterback Charlie Whitehurst is profiled here (and here, too), and star linebacker Leroy Hill gets scrutinized here.

The Greenville News has a Bart Wright column looking ahead to the season and notebook-type thingee that includes some Clemson-related items.

RIVALRY HEATS UP: Clemson's 26-10 victory over Florida State in 2003 has enlivened a rivalry that has failed to live up to the hype generated after the Seminoles joined the ACC in the early 1990s and it looked like the game would be the league's biggest every year. And this year's game could be especially interesting in the wake of fisticuffs between Clemson and FSU athletes at the NCAA track and field championships last month.
