Former Clemson standout Brian Dawkins, who crafted a stellar 16-year NFL career at the demanding position of safety, is retiring from pro football.
Dawkins has hall-of-fame-worthy numbers. He made 1,131 tackles, forced 37 fumbles and picked off 37 passes during his career with the Philadelphia Eagles and Denver Broncos.
