Carson to handle sideline radio duties

Ranked 13th by Lindy's, 16th by Street & Smith's, 13th by Athlon. LB Leroy Hill, 2nd team All-America by Lindy's and Athlon, 3rd team by Street & Smith's. Receivers ranked 10th nationally by Lindy's.

Currie, Hill are fastest football players
Airese Currie and Tye Hill of Clemson had the best times in the 100-meter dash among college athletes who double as track competitors and football players.
"College football's fastest men." I like the sound of that.
RECRUITING UPDATE: According to The State, Clemson is close to getting commitments from two of South Carolina's top prep prospects: linebacker Josh Miller of Manning, S.C., and Mullins, S.C., offensive lineman Jamarcus Grant.
UNIFORM UPDATE: The Greenville News reports that Clemson's uniforms for 2004 will resemble the Denver Broncos, but won't be a radical change from the current design.

Despite surgery, Currie should be fine for football
Clemson receiver Airese Currie, who was jumped by a couple of Florida State thugs at the NCAA track and field championships in Austin, Texas, will have to undergo minor surgery but will be OK.
PHILLIPS BIOGRAPHY: A book outlining the story of late Clemson broadcaster Jim Phillips is in the works. Phillips died last September after 35 years as the "voice of the Tigers."
RODRIGUEZ INTERVIEW: Tigernet has an interview with current West Virginia head coach and former Clemson assistant Rich Rodriguez. Check it out.

FSU track thugs assault Currie
This was all the buzz on Tigernet's message boards on Monday. Clemson track/football star Airese Currie was allegedly jumped by a couple of Florida State track athletes in Austin, Texas, the site of the NCAA championships. Currie sustained minor injuries to his face -- from a bottle! -- and will be OK to play football this fall.
Note how the two stories were handled by the media. The State has a very detailed report, while the Tallahassee Democrat's version is, um, rather cryptic, to say the least.
